High Blood Pressure Is Hypertension By Dave Kettner My father was recently diagnosed with hypertension which is another name for high blood pressure. I did a search on the Google site Google Scholar to find out what kinds of studies and articles have been published in the academic community about high blood pressure.
The article entitled “Ambulatory blood pressure: an independent predictor of prognosis in essential hypertension” about was originally published in 1979 in Dallas, Texas.

Kids take responsibility for asthma meds earlyNEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Many children with asthma start taking their daily medication on their own at an early age, a new study finds.
The article was reprinted in 1994 and again in 2006. This article has been cited 629 times. The top result for citation of this article was for the World Health Organization in the Journal of Hypertension.
Another article I found about was about a study. The purpose of the study was to estimate the current prevalence and distribution of and to determine the status of awareness, treatment, and control in the adult population of the United States. The results of the study were published in 1979.
In 1992, there was an article about entitled “Chronic inhibition of nitric oxide synthesis; A new model of arterial hypertension” that was published in Hypertension, the journal. The study stated that recent studies had indicated that acute inhibition of nitric oxide biosynthesis in the rat promoted arterial and renal vasoconstriction. The study evaluated the renal and systemic effects of 4-6 weeks of a nitric oxide blockade in Munich-Wistar rats receiving the nitric oxide inhibitor nitro-L-arginine orally. There were age-matched, untreated rats used as controls.
In 1987, the Hypertension journal published “Fructose-induced insulin resistance and hypertension in rats” about high blood pressure. This study and resulting article have been cited more than two hundred times. The article figured prominently in the study called “Body fat and sympathetic nerve activity in healthy subjects”.
The article about entitled “Diabetes mellitus and hypertension” has been cited 162 times. I followed the citations and eventually ended up at an article entitled “Obesity Wars Molecular Progress Confronts an Expanding Epidemic” that was really very interesting.
